The Charity is run entirely by volunteers who work for no payment, our only source of income is from donations from the public.
Welcome to Mugla Animal Shelter!
Hello, I'm Suzan Demir, and I'd like to introduce you to Mugla Animal Shelter. We undertake charitable work in Turkey by helping needy animals in the Mugla region and with the aid of ex pats who live in Koycegiz, (a picturesque town with a gorgeous lake, situated between Marmaris and Dalaman Airport) we are slowely getting there.
Please neuter your pet - be part of the solution, not the problem If you allow your female pet to have a litter, and manage to find homes for them, they have then used up homes that pets sitting in a shelter could have had, which may then end up being destroyed.
Many females come into season, get chased far from their home by un-neutered males and end up completely lost, pregnant, and living on the streets. This is how feral cat colonies are formed. They struggle to survive, often hungry, and frequently becoming sick or injured.
Mugla Animal Shelter is a non-profit, all-volunteer, humane organization formed in 2006 to assist in the increasing adoptions and spay or neuter of animals within the Mugla area. Our mission is to improve the welfare of animals in our community and reduce the homeless pet population.
It is, and will be, the mission of Mugla Animal Shelter to reduce pet overpopulation, encourage responsible pet ownership, and promote humane treatment of animals.
All time is volunteered, no wages to pay, no offices to maintain - every penny goes to our animals to feed, shelter and to provide medical care. All donations made to Mugla Animal Sanctuary are spent directly on the animals. This is the only way we want it to be!
We can never express our gratitude highly enough to those kind people that make donations and adopt our animals, without you we could not continue our good work.
